Floorcloths - Art for the floor

About Floorcloths

I cut, design, paint and finish all of the art you see here. I use only the best materials, which includes heavy weight canvas, latex paints, artist acrylic paints and artist varnish. Five coats of artist varnish provide for decades of durability. In addition, my floorcloths are hemmed with mitered corners, which adds further strength and beauty. A non-skid coating is applied to the back of each rug to prevent slipping. Each piece is signed.

Floorcloths are both functional and beautiful art for the floor. They are ideal for solid surfaces and lie flat to the floor. Common placement is in the kitchen, bathroom, doorways, foyers and under tables. Floorcloths do not scratch or stain and do not trap dirt or hair, making them ideal to live with, especially with children and pets. Clean-up is easy - just dry sweep or damp sponge with soap and water!

The 'available' inventory you see here can be purchased for the listed price. Under each photo is the rug size, listed in inches. I can also re-create any 'sold' floorcloth with the same or different colors/dimensions to fit your exact needs. Simply e-mail or call me and we can discuss payment and shipping details. I attend many art shows through the year, so my available inventory changes often with new and sold floorcloths.

Custom Commission

A great deal of my floorcloths are custom creations. I cut my own canvas, so any size can be accommodated. I provide artist sketches of possible designs before a custom commission is approved and finalized. 50% of the total price is paid to start a commission, with the balance paid only upon completion of the floorcloth. Generally, each floorcloth is priced at $25 to $30 per square foot. I can provide references from clients who have commissioned my work.
